How It’s Made (process)

  1. Fermentation (microbe + feedstock): Glucose (from starch hydrolysate) is produced via enzymatic starch conversion; fermentation prepares clean feed.

  2. Primary production: Catalytic hydrogenation of glucose yields sorbitol (polyol) in aqueous solution.

  3. Separation & purification: Filtration, decolorization, and ion-exchange to remove catalysts/minerals.

  4. Drying & milling (for powder): Concentration, crystallization, drying, and controlled milling/sieving to target mesh.

  5. Standardization/QA: Assay, moisture, heavy metals, and microbiology verified; COA issued.

Suggested Dosage

General: 0.5–40% w/w (by system); trial recommended.
