How It’s Made (process)

  1. Feedstock selection: Refined edible oils rich in oleic triglycerides are chosen as feedstock.

  2. Primary production: Hydrolysis/saponification liberates fatty acids from triglycerides; crude oleic fraction obtained.

  3. Purification: Multi-stage distillation and polishing reduce color/odor and sharpen oleic content.

  4. Finishing & blending: Adjust to target iodine/acid values and clarity; polish filtration for low particulates.

  5. Standardization/QA: Acid value, iodine value, appearance, and contaminants verified; COA issued.

Suggested Dosage

General: 0.1–5.0% w/w as carrier/emollient or texture aid; trial recommended.

By application

  • Margarine/shortening: 0.2–2.0% (with system emulsifiers)

  • Health & Beauty (o/w or w/o): 0.5–5.0% (base-dependent)

  • Pharmaceuticals (carrier/solvent): q.s. per formulation & local regs
