How It’s Made (process)

  1. Feedstock prep: Derived from natural oils/fats (via hydrolysis or biodiesel coproduct refining) or from petro routes (propylene derivatives).

  2. Primary production: Hydrolysis/transesterification generates crude glycerin.

  3. Purification: Multi-stage distillation and polishing reduce salts, color, and odor to food/cosmetic specs.

  4. Finishing: Final filtration and quality conditioning; filled into drums/IBCs under hygiene controls.

  5. Standardization/QA: Assay, color, odor, moisture, and key physicals (density/RI/viscosity) verified; COA issued.

Suggested Dosage

General: 0.1–10.0% w/w; trial recommended.

By application

  • Bakery cakes/icings & glazes: 0.5–3.0%

  • Confectionery (caramels/fondants): 0.3–1.5%

  • Beverages & concentrates: 0.05–0.50%

  • Chewing gum / jellies & gummy: 0.5–3.0%

  • Health & Beauty (emulsions/gels): 1.0–10.0%

  • Pharmaceuticals (syrups/oral solutions): q.s. per formula
